Description
Whitby is a quaint seaside fishing village in the English county of North Yorkshire. Captain Cook’s training as a seaman began in Whitby. Whitby Abbey, a ruined Benedictine abbey overlooking Whitby Bay, gave Bram Stoker much of his inspiration for his 1897 gothic novel “Dracula”.
