Description
I create stories out of seemingly disparate, individual photos. This photostration includes over 100 of them selected and arranged in such a way as to hopefully be believable and thought provoking. Based on this artwork, here's one possible story:
"The dawn awoke to azure skies and a silent sun that peered through clouds blushed purple by the lush lavender fields below.
Once again, the old patriarch took to the perfumed sky to find the total freedom he could find nowhere else. He rose higher in the calm, windless air, where, with keen eyes, he could see an ever expanding patchwork of purple and gold. But on this crisp morning, as he soared above the countryside near the ruins of an abandoned abbey, he saw people gathering along the roadsides and in the fields below. For reasons he could not discern, they seemed to be busily gathering plants, carrying large bundles to and fro, placing them in carts and wagons and then returning to the fields to collect more.
As he rose even higher, he noticed that others were also invading his beloved air space, his domain. He became increasingly agitated and even threatened by all the activity, both above and below. This was his territory, his birthplace, his home. But despite his concern over these concurring encroachments, his immediate goal was to hunt for food.
Flapping his strong wings, like feathery oars stroking through an ocean of air, he circled the area in search of rabbits, squirrels or even field mice to bring back to his nest to feed a waiting, hungry family. Later, he would take flight again, rising effortlessly this time on sun-birthed thermals to investigate further this intrusion into his precious world of purple."
This is only one of many possible stories. Look closely. What story do YOU see?
